Another day of just a few anglers finishing without Limits of Big Rockfish with Lingcod and Crab picking up quite a bit.  There was a decent score of Lingcod and Cabezon on the filet tables today as well.  Crabbing is finally getting back to what we're use to this time of year with 3.5 to 6 per share.  It should only get better.

The picture above is a fine example of a Wolf Fish caught on the Outer Limits today.  Some folks think they are Eels but they are actually part of the Perch family.  True Eels have no pectoral fins where these specimens do.  They look ferocious but are really shy and only attack other Wolf Fish.  Their main diet are Crab and Urchins which give them those big teeth to crush the hard shells.  They are quite interesting critters indeed.

With the Lingcod and Crabbing picking back up it's time to get out there before our equinox shows up and everything changes.  Quit Wishin'!!
