Mixed Bag on 3 Boats Today

Great day of catching today with 3 of our boats reporting different types of trips. 1 got all of their Lingcod and about 3/4 of their Rockfish. The other 2 reported limits of Rockfish with one getting 34 of the 38 Lingcod for a limit.  The other Boat had some beautiful Deep Water Rockfish and a handful of Lingcod.  Check out the Vermillion they got.  Vermillion don't get much bigger than this one and they are delicious offering a little firmer meat.  That is a real beauty!  We never met one we didn't like.  Just like almost all the bottom fish we get.

Crabbing was 2 to 3 per person and showing positive signs of real improvement for the season. 

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trips tommorrow with a very tight 7 to 9 foot swell at 8 seconds apart coming for Saturday.  Plus the updated wind forecast is 20 knots gusting 30 making for a uncomfortable trip.  We just don't like when the boat's rocking so violently it's almost impossible to fish effectively when we're just jerkimg the lures right out of the fishes mouth.  Sunday on looks fantastic for the next full week.
