Limits of Rockfish and Some nice Lingcod!

Sunrise Sportfishing

How everyone, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we departed at 6:30 with 14 passengers. We began our journey by heading northwest to set our pots. We set out 10 pots, all an equal distances spaced from each other. After we were done setting out pots, we headed 5 minutes north for our first drift. On our first drift, we caught 2 fish. We then caught 3 on both our second, and third drift. We had about 1/5th of our limit after an hour and a half. Things began to heat up and passengers were catching fish left and right. After about 5 drifts, we limited out on rockfish. After that, we went to go Lingcod fishing. This lasted for about an hour and a half before we had to go get our crab pots. We ended up with a nice haul of 30. We then wrapped up our adventure and made our way home. Overall, it was a great day. Everyone got their rockfish limit and walked away with more than 2 crab a person. You couldn't have picked a better day to go fishing.
