Fast Rockfish limits and some Lingcod

Hey everyone, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we just did straight bottom fishing and no crabbing so that means as soon as we left the harbor, we went straight to killing some fish. It took us around 15 minutes to get to our first spot and as soon as we started the drift, the rockfish started piling up. Most of the time, we never really traveled far outside of our original spot but we did go a little south about 5 minutes and the bite was just as good. We ended up limiting out on rockfish in about an hour and a half. After we finished up our rockfish, we went Lingcod fishing for the remainder of the trip and we ended up keeping 8 of the 13 we caught. We also caught 3 Cabezon that we immediately released after catching. Even though the ocean was a little wavy near the end of the trip, the sky cleared up and it was a beautiful day out on the water. Overall, it was a great and fun trip.
