Whale Watch Report for 6-7-2022

Spouts Ahoy!

We sent out our whale watching fleet today and they came back with more reports of Gray Whales! When you come out with us, you may notice these animals have patches of white scattered about their bodies. Would you believe that those patches are actually living animals as well? They are clusters of barnacles! On a full grown Gray Whale, there can potentially be 400 pounds of barnacles hitching a ride. Even the smallest of life forms matter in the ocean. Come watch how these two vastly different animals participate in commemsalism (one party benefits at no cost to the other). Book online or give us a call, summer trips fill up fast!
