Wednesday July 22nd fishing report
After 4-5 days of marginal ocean weather we got some really nice weather today and more of it to come thru the weekend. We still have patchy fog in the area but the ocean is really nice with no heavy currents out there also.
No trips for Tradewinds but did hear that there were some fish caught out in the 55-fathom territory which is 5-6 miles offshore. Maybe they will be showing up & we will keep you informed.
Bottom fishing & crabbing
It was another inside/outside fishing today with most of the vessels on the inside reefs and by the looks at the fishing totes it was a good day with limits or close to limits of Black bass rockfish. The outside vessels had good days in Canary rockfish and limits of Lingcod an unusual outcome this time of the year. It does happen from time to time as you can see one of them that this lady reeled in this morning. No official word on crabbing but its been so good lately the guess is that it was also very good today.
