Current Report: The tuna are in range of 25 miles. We are booking several trips and are very successful with 2 to 6 per person. They are running 25 to 40 pounds. Salmon continues to be spotty with low success at this time. Bottom fishing for ling cod has been exceptional with many 40 pound fish caught. Long distance Halibut is still producing fish for every one on a Tradewinds boat with average weight of 35 pounds. It is now open every friday, saturday, and sunday. The near shore halibut are very small with limited catch. Quit wishin-go fishin!

Current Report: Fishing for Sea bass and ling cod on our bottom fishing trips has been excellent with mostly limts and producing some nice large ling cod. Salmon started slow with few fish on central coast but is now picking up with several fish caught in last few days. Tuna is still spotty with albacore moving in and out from 30 to 60 miles. Please call for latest updates. Crabbing has picked up nicely with our catches average 3 per person. Our summer prices are now in effect with no fuel surcharge expected. This is Tradewinds 70th anniversary and mention this at time of booking your next trip and we will take $5.00 off per person on that bottom fishing trip!
Give yourself a break and " Quit wishin go Fishin"

Current Report: The fishing season has started off well with a good catch of ling cod and cabezon. We have also caught a few halibut on bottom trips. The ocean conditions have been quite rough this spring causing little pressure on the reefs. This has resulted in nice catches and mostly limits of sea bass and other rock fish. The halibut catches have been good with a good season in the forecast this year. Crabbing has been slow to fair. Average is 2 per person on our combo trips. We expect another good season of albacore tuna fishing. With our specialty boats we had a record catch last season. The waters should warm up for a good day of tuna fishing by the end of June. Call for updates at any time. No chinook salmon this year but the season for coho salmon will start June 21 and go until quota is met which is one third of last year quota. The first week should be good but after that the quota will probable be filled. We are booking now for these trips so call us as soon as you can to get your spot for that first week. Unfortunately, gas prices will force us to a fuel surcharge by mid June. We will build into prices to help alleviate confusion. This is our 70th year!!!! Stop wishin-go fishin!
